With her Fall 2012 collection, designer Thomasine Dolan officially has me ready to go back to school, and it isn’t even Labor Day. And I’m not even in school anymore. Thom. Dolan is equal parts prep and boy-meets-girl, and showcases the effortless, classic style sensibility that Thomasine honed while designing for companies like Bill Blass and Ralph Lauren. But most of all, I love her approach to texture and pattern — just the kinda stuff you want to sink your (sartorial) teeth into, on a cold day in October. And the fact that it’s all designed and built in the US? Icing on the cake.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some pencils to sharpen…
