Quite Continental Loves: Lockets by Khara Ledonne

16/03/2011 § 5 Comments

This weekend I had the pleasure of visiting with one of my favorite classy ladies from California and while we enjoyed all that Manhattan had to offer, I noticed that she was wearing the most darling locket!  After a French 75 or three, she was willing to pass along her source: infinitely talented painter (and Brooklyn local!) Khara Ledonne.

Khara’s spherical vintage lockets open to reveal beautifully detailed and whimsical miniatures — which she does not use a magnifying glass to paint, somehow! — and can be worn open or closed.  Ma chère amie wore hers open and it was quite an eye-catcher.  You can get your very own at Khara’s etsy store.  Don’t see one that strikes your fancy?  She also takes custom orders!
