Noir {Edelweiss by Sarah}

Cherie, I’ve made a discovery that I urgently want to discuss with you.  On my travels through le interwebs, I came across a darling collection named Edelweiss by Sarah that I have fallen hard for.  Sarah, the creator of the New York-based line, draws much of her inspiration from classic films from the 40s.  If you know anything about me, you know this would send me swooning.

Aside from the fact that I enjoy the opportunity to support a local designer, I also appreciate the moderate price point.  You can purchase these darling frocks directly from the Edelweiss online boutique.  Currently available are dresses from Fall ’10 and Spring ’11.  Pictures from the Fall ’11 collection are up, and they are amazing.

What I love about Edelweiss by Sarah is the fact that the designer very successfully incorporates nostalgic necklines, hemlines and shapes into decidedly modern garments.  These are not clothes for someone who wants to wear a costume, these are dresses for women who long for old-fashioned refinery in their day-to-day.

J’adore!
