I was fortunate to catch The Little Black Jacket in SoHo last week, during its limited run, and I wanted to share a few pictures with you. Conceived by Carine Roitfeld and Karl Lagerfeld, the travelling exhibition revisits the iconic tweed Chanel jacket — newly redesigned by Lagerfeld — in over 100 large-scale photographs of models, actors, artists and celebrities, each with their own take on the LBJ. The wide range of faces staring back at you from the walls — young, old, male, female, of all different colors — illustrate quite effectively why Gabrielle’s classic design has endured for decades.
The exhibit has since moved on to Taipei, with the next location to be revealed on June 25. If it comes to your city, I definitely recommend a visit. If you aren’t fortunate enough to make the trip in person, you can always pick up the book or peruse The Little Black Jacket “e-experience.” You can also watch a behind-the-scenes film of the photoshoot here.

Lagerfeld presents a collection that is refined, yet relaxed; mature, yet girlish; grounded, yet airy; tailored, yet fluid. As always, Lagerfeld creates a completely modern statement that embodies the spirit of Mademoiselle Chanel.
Some of my favorite looks from the show:
For complete coverage, head over to Vogue Paris. Warning: you will be stuck for endless hours admiring the couture confections. J’adore!

I’ve been eagerly waiting for Martin Scorsese’s short film for Bleu de Chanel (a new men’s fragrance) and it’s finally here! Starring Gaspard Ulliel and Ingrid Schram, and featuring the song “She Said Yeah” by the Rolling Stones, Ulliel stars as a young, rebellious actor in the midst of a press conference. Definitely worth the wait!
