They’ve also taken this opportunity to release a rather handsome NYC Limited Edition Collection — which just so happens to be shopable online, just in case your MetroCard can’t quite get you to 5th Avenue and E. 54th Street. The pinstripe suit and the studded slips are personal faves, but be sure to click through to see the entire NYC Limited Edition Collection…as well as the sparkling new US e-commerce site.
And of course, there’s a collection for the gents as well.

Massimo Dutti‘s August lookbook is doing its best to get me excited for fall and for the new store that is set to open on Fifth Avenue soon — the first stateside location! With clean lines, elegant styling and more than a bit of gamine chic, Massimo Dutti’s summer-to-fall story is right up my alley…and these moccasins need to get. on. my. feet. I also can’t help but notice shades of Mme. Alt, no? Especially with those white jeans…

Mr. Greenleaf (Pre-Fall 2012 Men)
Mrs. Highsmith (Pre-Fall 2012 Women)
I was already completely excited about the first stateside Massimo Dutti opening later this year on Fifth Avenue, but when they decide to pay homage to Patricia Highsmith’s beloved psychological thriller via their Pre-Fall 2012 campaign?
A girl might just lose her head…

Once again, I am quite put out over the fact that there are no Massimo Dutti boutiques stateside. I’m really enjoying the soft, yet constructed feel of the looks in this lookbook — especially the gorgeous leather jacket thrown over a sundress. Perhaps it is time for a reconnaissance trip to London…
The June men’s lookbook is also worth perusal. Aside from sartorial inspiration — loving the linen field jacket, the gingham check shirt and the brightly colored chinos — model Ryan Kennedy isn’t too bad to look at. See a full rundown over at Die, Workwear.

Spanish label, Massimo Dutti, recently released their April 2011 lookbook and thereby struck a major chord with me. I adore the quiet elegance of this line — very “classic American style with European elan” — right up my alley (and practically at my front door). A menswear designer that relatively recently moved into the womenswear space, Massimo Dutti champions the kind of look that I love in their latest lookbook: menswear-flavored accents, classic lines, jackets galore, jolts of bright color, pretty flats, swingy skirts, stripes, polka dots…the list goes on. For a girl who enjoys looking like a polished tomboy, I found plenty to love.
Because Massimo Dutti is currently without a US boutique, it looks like I will have to wait until my next trip to London to see the clothes for myself. I’m a smidge wary, as they are owned by the same parent company that owns Zara — a shop I don’t usually have much luck in — but I’m reserving final judgment. From outward appearances Massimo Dutti looks like a label after my own heart. See the rest of the lookbook here.

While we are on the subject, the menswear lookbook is rather handsome, as well. See it here. My newest menswear crush!
